• Inspire and equip young volunteers to become future leaders and responsible citizens of the nation.
• To instill a sense of patriotic commitment
• To promote the values of honesty, truthfulness, self-sacrifice, perseverance, and hard work.
MISSION
To develop leadership and character qualities, mould discipline and nurture social integration and cohesion through multi-faceted programs conducted in a military environment.
AIM OF NCC
In view of the changing socio-economic environment, an exercise was undertaken by the Ministry of Defence to make aims of National Cadet Corps in tune with the aspirations of the youth. As part of recommendations of an Evaluation Committee, the following aims have since been adopted by the National Cadet Corps:-
• To develop qualities of Character, Courage, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure and Sportsmanship, besides the ideals of Selfless Service among the youth to make them useful citizens.
• To create human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and always be available for the service of the Nation.
• The movement was open to both school and university students. The corps started in a small way with a target of only 32,500 Senior Division and 1,35,000 Junior Division Cadets. Today, its sanctioned strength stand more than 12 lakh cadets.
The National Cadet Corps was given an inter-service image in 1950 when the Air Wing was added followed by the Naval Wing in 1952. While elementary military training was given to school students (cadets of Junior Division), college students (cadets of the Senior Division) were trained as potential officers of the Army. Following the Chinese Aggression, to meet the requirement of the nation, the National Cadet Corps training was made compulsory in 1963. However, on the resistance of students against compulsory National Cadet Corps training and also on the suggestions of some Vice Chancellors, the entry into the NCC was again made voluntary in 1968.
MOTTO OF NCC
• The motto of NCC is “Unity and Discipline” which was adopted on 23 Des.1957. In living up to its motto, the NCC strive to be and is one of the greatest cohesive forces of the nation, bringing together the youth hailing from different parts of the country and moulding them into united, secular and disciplined citizens of the nation.
NCC PLEDGE
• We the cadet of the national cadet corps, do solemnly pledge that we shall always uphold the unity of India. We resolve to be disciplined and responsible citizen of our nation. We shall undertake positive community service in the spirit of selflessness and concern for our fellow beings.
NCC FLAG

• The NCC flag for various units of the NCC was first introduced in 1951. The flag was of same pattern, colour & size as was used by various regiments of the Army. The only difference was that it had the NCC badge & unit designation placed in the centre. In 1954 the existing tricolour flag was introduced. The three colours in the flag depict the three services of the Corps, red for the Army, deep blue for the Navy & light blue for the Air Force. The letters NCC & the NCC crest in gold in the middle of the flag encircled by a wreath of lotus (17Directorates), give the flag a colourful look & a distinct identity.

24 January 2025, NCC unit of our college under the supervision of 37th UP Battalion Ghaziabad organized a Weapon Show aiming to provide cadets with exposure to modern weaponry and defence systems. The event showcased a range of weapons, including INSAS rifles and SLR.
The cadets participated in interactive sessions, including weapon handling demonstrations. They were also briefed on advanced technologies like night-vision equipment and GPS systems.
This visit successfully enhanced the cadets’ knowledge, skills, and patriotism. Events like this bridge the gap between youth and the armed forces, fostering a sense of responsibility and national pride.
