The event was frugal engineering also known as Jugaad in which participant had to make something out of waste product, any working or nonworking model. The team consisted of 3 participants and won Gold in AKTU ZONALS (GHAZIABAD ZONE). The students are Adiba Tahir 1602700007(CE) Manas Seth 1602740082(ME), Harshit Chandra 1602740066 (ME). The team made a working model of a 3-way energy conversion turbine which converted wind energy, hydro energy, and streamflow energy to electrical energy via mechanical energy.

In order to promote student linkages and involvement, a mentorship programme is conducted for difficult subjects. Under this programme, top notch students of the institute conduct lectures for weak students. This builds up a sentiment of selfless service and leadership skills within the student community at large. As an incentive, the college gives suitable cash reimbursements to such students. Also, general proficiency marks are enhanced in proportion to degree of participation. The overall programme is conducted under the supervision of concerned subject faculty.
