One day workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)“ funded by CSTUP, Lucknow was organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering on 24 February, 2024. The fund given to conduct the workshop was Rs. 80,000. The fund was given to AKGEC in the name of Dr. Sonam Gupta as the main coordinator. The workshop aimed to educate participants about the importance of IPR in fostering innovation, protecting inventions, and promoting economic growth.

Filing of Patents: The session on patents focused on the process of obtaining a patent, the requirements for patentability, and the rights conferred by a patent.
Trademarks and Copyrights: These sessions discussed the importance of trademarks and copyrights in branding and creative industries, respectively.
Enforcement of IPR: This session highlighted the importance of enforcing IPR and the legal mechanisms available for protecting IPR.
Case Studies: The workshop included several case studies to illustrate real-life examples of IPR issues and their resolution.
